Eyepieces

Your scope will usually come with one or two eyepieces. After looking through other people's scopes and seeing the quality of the more expensive eyepieces, you may want to invest in some of the more exotic ones. You can get some great deals on E-Bay if they are in great shape. I have three oculars I use most of the time. The 28mm Pentex, 17mm and 13mm Orion Lanthanum Super Wide view. Great eyepiece with wide angle views. Second hand you can save $75 or more on each one.

Two other oculars I use is the Barlow lens and the 6.3 focal reducer. The Barlow will double the power of the other eyepieces thus doubling the number of oculars you own. The focal reducer will widen your field of view. It coverts my scope, an F-10, and changes it to a F-6.3.

I use a Scopetronix Digi-t on one of my eyepieces. It's a 30mm lens for photographing with my digital camera. This is the adapter to connect the camera and eyepiece.
